Overview
Pupil Barrister
Mark accepts instructions across all of Chambers’ practice areas, with a particular focus on property, personal injury and consumer disputes. Based in London, Mark attends hearings across the South-East and beyond. During his pupillage, Mark is supervised by Christopher McGeever.
Prior to commencing pupillage, Mark gained 5 years of experience as an advocate for LPC Law, attending more than 2,400 hearings in the County Court, High Court and First-Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber). Mark gained extensive experience across a wide range of civil litigation practice areas, in particular dealing with residential property claims – acting for a range of mortgage lenders, landlords and freeholders – personal insolvency, Companies Act applications, defended trials following road traffic accidents, and interlocutory applications.
During the non-practising period of his pupillage, Mark gained further experience across the breadth of Chambers’ work, assisting his supervisor with the drafting of advices in personal injury cases, drafting of skeleton arguments, and settling Grounds of Appeal.
Due to the experience gained prior to pupillage, Mark was granted a reduction in the length of his pupillage by the Bar Standards Board. He commenced the practising period of his pupillage in August 2024.
