Shortlisting for Pupillage at 25 Canada Square Chambers
25 Canada Square Chambers is a AETO (Authorised Education and Training Organisation) authorised by the Bar Standards Board (BSB) to provide education and training. The Authorisation Framework sets out the four principles of Bar training, which are Flexibility, Accessibility, Affordability and High Standards.
25 Canada Square Chambers is pleased to confirm that candidates who apply for Pupillage - commencing in either September 2024 or March 2025 - will benefit from an anonymised application during the shortlisting phase. Although not a mandatory requirement for any AETO in their recruitment processes, it is a means by which Chambers adheres to and upholds the principle of Accessibility for all applicants. It is also suggested within Part 4C of the Bar Qualification Manual as a technique to ensure fair recruitment and to promote equality and diversity in opportunities at the Bar.
Aspiring Barristers will be shortlisted based on objective criteria, including their written communication, motivation towards a career at the Bar, and commercial awareness.
The window for application submissions closes at 11:59pm on Wednesday 7 February 2024. Chambers wishes all applicants the best of luck.
